University of Kashan ranked 2nd in supporting research projects among Iranian academic institutes

According to the report released by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), University of Kashan gained second place among national comprehensive universities in supporting research projects.

The report also notes that this University in 2014 was among first ten institutes in allocating budget for scientific research. Having supported 171 scientific projects, University of Kashan obtained 4^th place in the country after National Elite Foundation, University of Tehran and Tehran University of Medical Science.

According to the Islamic World Science Citation Center, in recent years the international ranking systems rate the universities and higher education institutes based on volume, quality, performance and citation of their productions. The volume of national scientific publications produced by the Iranian research institutes and universities in the forms of ISI research publications has increased substantially and its growth rate has been more or less maintained during the last two decades.

Based on the number of publications, Dr. M. Salvati Niasar, a faculty member and professor of chemistry at the University of Kashan, was announced to be amongst the world top writers and researchers by Scopus. Having published 5 articles in October this year, Salavati is also elected as one of the most prolific writers.
